00:11:30:00About

Trained on 200+ hours of raw footage. Still watches every frame twice.

I’m Kai Marsh, a video editor & colorist based in Los Angeles, CA — Remote worldwide. I work directly with directors, labels and brands to take a card full of footage to a cut that’s ready to ship — usually across all four tracks below, sometimes handing color or sound off to a specialist when the project calls for it.

Video
Narrative & pacing
Assembling raw footage into a shape that earns every cut — three-act structure, montage, or a single unbroken take.
Audio
Sound design & mix
Dialogue cleanup, foley layering, and a final mix that plays back consistently from a phone speaker to a cinema.
Color
Grading & finishing
Building a consistent LUT-driven look across cameras, then hand-grading the shots that need to carry the emotion.
FX
Motion graphics & VFX
Titles, screen comps, tracking and cleanup — enough to support the story without ever announcing itself.
00:18:45:00How a project runs

The same five stages, every time.

00:00:00:00
Ingest

Footage, audio and assets are organized, proxied and backed up before a single cut is made.

00:04:12:00
Assemble

A rough cut finds the spine of the story — pacing first, polish later.

00:11:30:00
Refine

Trims, transitions and structure tighten around client and director feedback.

00:18:45:00
Color & Sound

Grading and mix pass turns a locked cut into something that feels finished.

00:24:00:00
Deliver

Exports for every platform, captioned and specced to how it'll actually be watched.

00:21:10:00Client notes

Notes from the review room.

Kai turned four hours of raw concert footage into something that felt like a film. The pacing alone got us the playlist add.

Reya LinA&R, Atlas Records

Fastest turnaround we've had and the color grade made our product look twice the budget.

Marcus OdellFounder, Reef Apparel

Gave notes on a Friday, had a client-ready cut Monday morning. Communication is as good as the edit.

Priya NathanProducer, Northline Studios

The sound design on our short carried scenes that the picture alone couldn't.

Devon ColeDirector, Static Bloom
